ICEN hosted its first ever football match in April 2008, with the girls on one side and the boys on the other. The girls came out champions with 4 goals whilst the boys scored 3 goals. The winning team received a football from ICEN’s president for practice and all players received certificates in recognition of their effort.

Dental Outreach

In April of 2008, ICEN collaborated with Doctors of the Korle-Bu Dental School for a dental outreach at the Teshie Orphanage in Accra. Residents of the orphanage were educated on dental hygiene and the proper way to clean their teeth. Their teeth were examined and cleaned, and some children referred to specialists. ICEN donated Math and English workbooks, stationery, and some food items to the orphanage.
